He's been incredible so far this season, just a couple of off games, he's comfortably the second best CB in the entire league and sometimes the best on his best days

This season is the first season since Jurgen arrives that he has had a squad he is able to rotate, even though it means the automation is out a bit and he gets it wrong sometimes in midfield with the options we have, like selecting 2 players who are both shite in the press and counter press like starting Jones and Oxlade in the same midfield, I've enjoyed the rotation he has employed and bat the midfield fuck ups, mostly because we didn't replace Gini to be fair, I think it has benefitted us significantly and our CBs and Robbo in particular

    Maguire 80m or Matip... hmm

So pleased he seems to have sorted out his injury problems.

Great all round display from Matip today except for one thing

Someone HAS to have a word about him flashing a leg at attempted shots, that is three goals deflected past Alisson this season from Matip doing that

Our defenders, stand up, make the goal a lot smaller and make a really good angle for Alisson where he can see what's coming and they DO NOT flash a leg at the ball and open their legs to potentially be megged in the process

Needs telling, that's 3 times now doing something he shouldn't be doing
