Everyone has different views on it, so if you prefer I will say that I have two friends who describe themselves as non-binary.

    That's grand.

There are definitely some folks out there who are confused about where they are on the sexual spectrum and I tend to reserve judgement as best I can for these folks.

There are definitely other folks who are playing up these things for attention.

Saw my kid score a goal the other day ...even i could see the standard from the 9 year olds was really poor......but i still run up and down the touchline shouting "Geeeeeeeet In" when the ball hit the back of the net.....
Have watched all the quarter finals decent standard and enjoyable games to watch. Semis will be 2 cracking games as nothing between the teams left. Its been a huge sucess this tournament

They'd get less clicks on the women's if they did that.

By not stating so, some executive can point at site traffic and say "see, SEE....people ARE massively interested" and fold their arms with a self-satisfied grin.
