There's too much confusion, I can't get no relief
Football fans have been dreaming of this for years
I'd be amazed if it's anything else - there will be some Board meeting with outlined targets and someone has to show quantifiable evidence of "interest" in the women's game (clicks in this case) and that is one way for them to generate it said evidence, even if it's been manipulated.
I've seen it from the other side with other activities. There's a guy who has a series of compilation videos of big tricks done on Rollerblades/Inline Skates called "Iconic Skate Spots" - he knows rightly that a lot of Skateboarders (much bigger numbers than Rollerblading) will click on those videos as they are expecting Skateboard (Skate) footage rather than Inline Skate (Skate) footage - that ambiguity is beneficial to his agenda of more folks seeing Rollerblading.
Once those clicks come in (plus the odd disparaging comment in the comments section too) the activity helps push the algorithm - which funnily enough means the videos have more chance of being seen by Rollerbladers or young folk who might start Rollerblading - but Rollerblading isn't big enough right now to create that level of clicks without (sort of) tricking some people in that case.
This thing of promoting "the football" (which 99% of folks will assume if the male game) is essentially the same kind of "trick" but has BIG money behind it and of course has the "equality" agenda.
What I find funny about it is that a lot of the feminist types often ramble on about "cultural appropriation" where one demographic builds something and then another group hijacks it without laying the groundwork themselves - but they're absolutely silent on the women's footie
We all love womens footie
It's coming home!!!!!
Yeah i am so excited oh my god
Literally glory hunters pretty much most of the people that suddenly have took a interest
#FSGOUT
we are liverpool football club, not fucking norwich.
So its the Germans in the final . You'd imagine it will be a harder game for England as I'm sure the Germans will have a goalkeeper who actually knows how to be a goalkeeper.
More attacks on goalies!
It is not just the women but the men involved when you consider this subject.
Clemence, Grobelaar, Dudek, Westerveld, Reina, Karius and even Alison have had their moments- sometimes prolonged - and with much criticism from this forum (historical aspect permitting). It is an unforgiving job for which liverpool fans were once famous for applauding.
He looks a bit like Nye Bevan
