I reckon Kovacic and Kante both bottled out of facing Fabinho because they thought that it is he who is spoofing in some twisted game of double bluff
I fancy Jota to come off the bench to help see the game out - I do feel for Jota, forced his way into the front 3, then Diaz arrives and Mane reinvents himself and on merit he's now nowhere near our best 11 for the biggest games, hard work on all aspects of his game and physically are the only things that can help him change that though, he has the drive and ability, he just has to continually work at all of it
At present he's more a later in the game sub against tired legs, because him not contributing unless he scores quite often is less of an issue against tired legs

We pretty much know what the line up will be.
It's just a case of who plays as the 3rd CM. Milner, Keita, Jones, Harvey or Ox.
Think it will be Milner.
We'll know by kick off what sort of line up we'll put out against Southampton.
Something, Something, Something, Dark Side
if fab is out and keita is out (or people dont fancy him starting), could we put Gomez at RB or RWB and have TAA in a RM role. He's frequently as far fwd as the midfielder in front of him us supposed to be anyway. He's quicker than Milner who always gets booked and then walks the tightrope for the rest of the game
Fabs out. Confirmed.
We'll be okay either Hendo and Thiago. Keita probably too.
Naby to start. Still needs to justify his signing fee but has done better of late. What I would add is that when Naby takes a strike at goal from just outside the penalty box his striking leg action is curiously like a rugby player taking a precise drop kick. It is a nice action. Work on it Naby and bag a winner for us!
