Interesting. Any time I have met someone in a Rangers shirt they wanted to knock my melt in or claimed to be affiliated with certain organisations so am delighted to see so many of their fans crying frankly.
I'm sure they have decent supporters too. Am yet to meet one though.

My best mate of 30 years is a Rangers fan as are all his family.
Unfortunately the sectarian aspect of the great football divide in Scotland has the Irish Catholics on one side and the Union Jack waving Protestants on the other. Never the twain shall meet.

Yeah, between the sectarian stuff and having a bunch of pro-Union lads draped in Blue shirts they just feel a Scottish Chelsea to me, to which I say "no thanks" and all that.
I actually think there are historic links between the clubs but am half-asleep here so may read up on that tomorrow.

When I served we were attached to some Scots Guards for a while; A few were Rangers fans. They were mad as rabbits and fucking terrifying until we got to know them. After that they were the sincerest people I’ve probably ever met. Every club has a few knobheads.

Don't mind Celtic and Rangers, probably prefer Rangers overall though. The bitterness is between them is on another level. In that situation (either being in a European final) I'll always want them to win.
