I thought it could be him given the links with us in previous years. I looked him up and there are reports of him going to united. It would be great if they signed him.

I'd be surprised honestly - don't think he will have enough about him in possession. I suspect we'll likely target a player who can "do it all" - a Rodri-lite or Rice-lite if you will - and Berge probability isn't a good enough all-rounder, nor young enough to improve much (27 in February) so doesn't seem a natural fit.

Klopp spoke highly of him at one point I think - never know - but initial thought is I don't see it.

I have twice seen him live as absolutely bang average.

Massive pinch of salt here, but there's a fella who leaked Caicedo last season (a deal was struck a few hours later) who has suggested it's Zubimendi.

Personally I would be incredibly surprised, so am not getting too pumped, but he'd probably be my first pick for the position, so have fingers and toes tightly crossed.
