The fact he’s utter gash tees.

Never even seen him have a good twenty minutes let alone full game. What exactly are his strengths?
Not noticed any personally, I don’t think he would be an upgrade on Endo.

Agreed. I don't think he has the attitude for the Premier league or the skill set, imo.

I dont think Endo is the answer in midfield but i'd want someone far better than Rabiot on what you'd imagine would be a massive whack to take his place.

I dont think Endo will be a starter anyway, even without additions.

I think it will be Mac and Jones (that needs to be Buddy Cop TV Show!) as the two and Szobo as the 10.
He was a catalyst to a degree - but yes. And I am totally exaggerating tbh - he was actually superb in a few big games - and really isn't that bad at all - just too slow. Maybe he can up that in the second season - who knows.

My over indulgence on this one is simply because we signed a player that was never the answer at all - and simply plugged a gap. Stuttgart loss supposedly our gain Jurgen lorded him on camera but couldn't convince himself even

It was reported at the time that Jürgen pushed for the transfer, to be fair.

Typically we try to target lads with 120-150 games (big enough pool for data) aged 23-26 and Endo certainly falls outside of that age bracket.

Not a knock on Endo for the record, nor on Klopp - but he certainly wasn't forced to sign him.

And I can believe it. At that stage he knew what was missing and we'd have been totally screwed without him too. He would have been on the list maybe - but how far down do we think?

Yep, it's hard to imagine Endo was high on the list.

But he must have ticked a few of the boxes in the analysis.

I think we were all surprised by him. As far as stop-gaps go, he was certainly more effective than Kabak, Davies and Arthur!

Arthur was phenomenal though - “in his own inimitable way” - his mere presence enough to strike the fear of god into opponents most of whom wondered what the fook he even looked like.

Ornstein reports that the delay now is due to the deals structure. Sounds like we've tried an offer of other players going as part of the deal but that's not happening.
In other words FSG playing the low ball or wanting to pay for him using interest free credit cards. Ocean finance getting involved soon I reckon.

What a bleeding palaver. August 9th we’re the only team yet to sign anyone. Now FSG dragging their financial knuckles to save a buck.
