We used to test teams in every way imaginable crosses through balls press and counter press them & squeeze them until the pups came out expertly, solo goals where we’d release a player in behind left or right or find them in isolation

This is ANOTHER game bent officials will look to give the set piece merchants as many frees as possible that aren’t so we need to be set to defend a few & keep possession as much as possible away from areas they’ll try to give them & be better in our picking up while in possession

I think we do need to play with more variation, we used to score A LOT of goals through having been more direct, that moved defenders, won the second ball & created from a position they weren’t set for

It’s as effective as a player making a great run & being found in a pocket to create, only less easy to anticipate
