That would be an excellent signing if it comes off, precisely what we are missing and midfield absolutely sorted for 4 or 5 years

If I was being veeeery picky then I would say that I would rather an alternative to Palhinha that was in the 23-26 sort of range - but I'd very happily have him here.

Who has shown themselves to be as good as him, playing 6 in the Premier League and is 23-26? And also doesn’t play for City or Arsenal?

If you get 4 good years out of Palhinha. he will be worth the money. No more looking to get money back on players. get players to win NOW. obviously 31+ is bit over the top..for the price.. Salah is 31 and he should stay another 2 years. but FSG we know they are hoping to cash on in Salah. so in the end they'll get the money back

Liverpool's France defender Ibrahima Konate, 24, has begun talks over a contract extension with the Reds, despite talks of a move to Paris St-Germain. (le10sport - in French)

Hope so, hes been a decent signing for us.. just the injuries that are a concern. hopefully he can have less of them going forward.

Yeah very fair shout that - there aren't a massive number of options out there, particularly in the "Premier League proven" category.

I'm always tempted by the Portuguese market but if you asked me for a particular name right now I don't think I have one.

Palhinha hasn't played that many minutes for a 29 year old really. He's actually played 4000 minutes less than Trent who is 4 years younger so he will probably be good well into his 30s and his injury record is excellent as well.

Wouldn't be my choice but if we make our move I could see why......

Would be a very smart move imo.
