I think the 12.30 kickoffs are for the Asian TV market. that's why its more often than not us or man utd since we are the two most popular clubs over there. Maybe Spurs since they got Son.

I don't think those tours are ever good for our pre-season preparation! We play in Europe and mostly UK!

Liverpool is a global brand that started in England and play I Europe. But the club belongs to all the 500 million supporters around the world. Those supporters bought Nunez by merchandise etc. So those faces are necessary and give those die hearts a once in a lifetime chance to see their beloved reds

    But what do they see?
    A proper competitive match?
Or a load of youths then all change at halftime
or semi fit pros having a 30 minute run out
and then perhaps injuries which may affect their viewing enjoyment for perhaps a whole season.
    Does it make sense?

They get to experience the matchday fan experience. Sing the songs. Chant the names. Sing you'll never walk alone. Watch a player close up in the flesh that they've only ever seen on a TV.
For those of us who have been to Anfield, stood on the Kop, we take it for granted. Liverpool have millions of fans worldwide who will never ever have that.

I find the whole idea ridiculous. Who is fooling who? Get back to pre season training on UK pitches!
