I'm not sure it's even 160 days(?) since we went into the last League game of a season competing for a title, or against Real Madrid to win a Champion's League.

Where's the cut-off point? A week later is it "we're not that team anymore, doesn't count" or what?

We are past the peak, as said. But context is surely important - a ridiculous injury list for one thing. If we took 8-10 lads out of Real Madrid do we then declare them rubbish because of something arbitrary like the fact they've conceded more League goals than Barcelona this year, or only got a draw in the Champion's League against Shakhtar Donetsk?

In fairness, thanks to City's owners suitcases of cash and the Premier League, FA and PGMOL insistence on adhering to Ferguson's and Murdochs "Anyone but Liverpool" mantra and 3 decades of it from the 90's onwards, we absolutely HAVE been robbed of 2, I don't care what the record books say, 18-19 and 21-22 our titles were stolen from us by corrupt officials

    He's not even a DM, he's a destroyer

Here is a list of pre-requisites that define a player as a DM

Expert reading of the game - Nope he doesn't have that

Expert positioning in accordance with the above - Nope he doesn't have that

Understanding of when he is the deepest midfielder and has to stay our side of a player - Nope he doesn't have that either

Plays right across the width of the pitch plugging gaps and snuffing out attacks - Nope again

As above, drops into defence and behind the line of the defence when necessary to make crucial interventions - NOPE

Uses the ball simply and effectively to get the team moving forward - Nope

Win headers from long balls by the opposition - YES

Win tackles on opposition players in his area - Occasionally, but they mostly attack either flank

Checks the date - Looks for nearest game we played to this date last year that being 24th October 2021 and here it is

Hendo at No6 - An assist with an absolutely brilliant ball Steveo would jizz his pants IF and that's a big if, Thiago were ever to produce such a pass in the famous Liverpool red, which is sadly looking ever increasingly unlikely, clean sheet, Keita having a rare brilliant game at RCM, the ones he only ever seems to have with Hendo at No6 and has never had played to the right of Fab, Milner and Jones both having good games

Hmmm indeed, Stevie's incredible anti Henderson bias and penchant for lying his arse off bashing Captain Fantastic to support dross like Fab and the never going to deliver what was expected Thiago laid bare for all to see

Hendo was shocking this time last year mate. He was dropped for Elliot early season- who was a kid -. Only got to play regularly cause of the injury.

You know this - it is an matter of fact. He came in to hold effect in some games but ultimately he was only effective and results only really became title challenging when Thiago was around.

    It’s all there to see

Repeating the lie, as you also have a penchant for, when called out and in this case caught out, bang to rights, isn't helpful, it's just been comprehensively demonstrated in the footage of a game this time last year, within a day, that this statement you are again repeating is entirely untrue

It's not a lie dude. he was just as bad as Fabinho is at the moment only he had Fabinho on form and Keita and Jones playing pretty well too.

    Draw v the Mighty Brentford

    Jordan Henderson – 6

Henderson plays with real vibrancy in his tweaked role on the right of the midfield, and it allowed him to get into great position to cross for Diogo Jota‘s equaliser.

The captain struggled to gain control of proceedings, though, with the trio of him, Fabinho and Curtis Jones needing work.

The draw v the mighty Brighton

    Jordan Henderson – 6
That clipped ball from right-centre of the penalty box has become a go-to for Henderson over the years, and often it prompts groans from the Kop as it eludes its intended target.
This time, though, it flew straight towards the top corner to open the scoring in only the fourth minute, for the perfect start.
Henderson is not Fabinho, though, and when it came to the nitty-gritty of the No. 6 role, the captain presided over a passive midfield unit – Liverpool miss those go-go gadget legs.

    The draw with city

    Jordan Henderson – 5
Went in at halftime with a pass success of just 50 per cent and struggled to take control in the midfield position Liverpool needed someone to do just that.
Was one of the players guilty of not offering support to Milner, mainly because he himself was having difficulty in his own role.
Looked leggy defensively as the game wore on and couldn’t quite catch up to the pace of the game in or out of possession.

Maybe shocking is harsh but he certainly wasn't very good. better than v Burnley though

All I am saying is you are calling for us to bum off Fabinho, which is harsh in the extreme, where were you when Hendo was floundering?

Fabinho hasn't had any chance to recover from that hamstring injury he was crazily rushed back from for the CL Final. It's clear he isn't fit and hasn't been since the back end of last season. The thing is - look at the results since he lost fitness.. how many games we went behind in? how many dropped points? 2 finals with extra time and no goals - no goal v Real..

hmmm. Maybe Fabinho is a little more key than we give him credit for.

    Fabinho's rating v City...

    Fabinho – 9

Much better than recent games, winning more second balls and stopping the runners having free reign through our soft centre.

A bit of a lazy yellow for his trip on Ilkay Gundogan but he couldn’t be allowed to run on so fair enough.

Perhaps he’s not fully fit at the moment, given it’s a surprise to remove him with 15 minutes to play in this type of match, but this was a big step towards where we need him more regularly.

The guy isn't fit and has been playing in a makeshift midfield on many occasion - he has been poor more often than not this season BUT I think we know why...

    It is a lie because

1 you're picking specific games with ratings and quotes that look like they've been written by yourself

2 I've just been checking through the games from this time last year, So September through early November who played, what they contributed which all bar odd games are upholding you being either off the scale bias or just a plain liar

3 Brentford fuck me you're a piece of work, fucking Brentford, who the fuck, which fucking know nothing twat are you quoting?

Fab (the alleged DM) was THE fundamental reason for the Brentford loss, a 3 out of 10 would be generous, that adopted a common tactic employed against us with Fab at No6, pick everyone else up, let him have the ball knowing he won't hurt them with it, look to quickly press whoever his telegraphed hospital ball in going to, nick it and went long to Toney and their other lad time and time and time again, and Fab, the guy you just said was our best DM, who was in an effective back 3 just in front of our 2 CBs, was a fucking disaster, he was fucking completely ineffective, incapable of dealing with a basic long ball tactic and Toney winning headers ahead of Virigl and Matip and picking up one of the 2 runners

Goal 1 v Brentford Fab the alleged best Dm weak as piss at the far post
Goal 1 for Liverpool, Lovely assist by Hendo for Jota
Goal 2 for Liverpool, Lovely incredibly rare collectors item assist by Fab
Goal 2 Brentford Fab loses him man then is outmuscled by him to the header
Goal 3 for Liverpool, Brilliant goal another very rare collectors item with Jones thrashing one home from distance
Goal 3 for Brentford, COmedy defending by our back four, no sign of our alleged DM in dropping in to defence as DMs do, not even in shot

Fucking Fab was badly at fault, disastrously so for 2 of their goals and YOU try and single out Hendo, only fucking you mate, a Steveo special that

Fuck me dude, you're a proper fucking lying revisionist twat at times, I remember exactly what happened in that Brentford game

They are all ratings From TIA mate - also they are kind. I watched the games last season

Here are some more for your delectation..

    Porto 5:1

    Jordan Henderson – 6
Decent free-kick strike before the break, tipped over, but most of the rest of his first half was largely poor: late tracking back to start with and several of the same over-clipped passes out of play.
Better on the ball after the break with some quicker, easier passes to the channels, but his defensive work was…poor.
No sticking with his man, easily run past by Diaz in particular – this needs fixing against City’s movement-filled midfield line.
Four hundred appearances in Red, but far from his best.
    __________________________________________________ _________

compare with this guy who so many think is a championship player.

    __________________________________________________ _________

Curtis Jones – 9 – Man of the Match
Looks very confident on the ball. Great movement and strike before the opening goal.
Kept the ball moving quickly, dribbled infield when he had the chance and his switch of play was good too, Jones was instrumental in the second goal, but it was our third that highlighted all his best bits.
Aggressive and quick to win back the ball in midfield with a good tackle, really good driving run into space, then the composure at the end of the run to wait and pick the right pass – a perfect assist.

    __________________________________________________ _________

    V Atletic 2:0

    Jordan Henderson – 7

Some really good moments of link play down the right channel, even if they didn’t all quite come off as intended.

Much better in the No. 8 role than he had been earlier in the season and worked hard throughout.

    __________________________________________________ _________

    compare with Fab

    __________________________________________________ _________

    Fabinho- 8

Lovely to have him back – took him three minutes to get a knee into an opponent’s side. We’ve needed that.

Know what else we’ve needed? His ability to hold position, win the ball, keep it and make sure everyone else in midfield is in their right area.

That is precisely what Fab brought, right from kickoff.

Remember these ratings are in a team that was doing well - had Mane - Mo (scoring for fun) - Bobby and Jota and a settled back line too

The problem is magnified this season bedding in a new striker and with the loss of Mane No Matip or Konate so often too.

Let's be balanced about it.. you are not being fair to Fab
