I don't personally see us choosing NOT to get a midfielder in unless nobody bids for Ox as it's the obvious area to improve. Could be that the club don't want anyone to think we have any money burning a hole in our pocket so our target clubs are sensible with valuations should we make bids.

Ward is apparently still in Portugal - fans can make of that what they will.

    It's in The Times Sid.

In a nutshell, it says we won't sign a midfielder this summer, but will target Bellingham next summer.

    Correct.

Anyone care to work out what they have won collectively?

EDIT: I would add one other crucial factor - for me at least - 'tempo'. As I understand it a "baller' must be able to control the 'tempo' of a game.

Much harder than it sounds and only a few players can truly do that on their lonesome.

Fabinho, Hendo, Thiago, Elliot, Keita, Milner, Jones, Ox - would be a massive achilles heel

Fab, Hendo, Thiago and Keita have injury issues. I expect Ox to be sold

Jones and Elliot would need to have massive breakthrough seasons. I just don't see it with Jones.

As I've said for the last three seasons - massive season for Keita (if he stays)

Imagine if we had Stevie G in his prime in that midfield.

Aw fucks sake man, how disappointing will that be.
We need to bring one in surely.
Its been shown before though Klopp won't settle for anything other than what he wants but theres always the risk we won't get Bellingham. Unless there's been some kind of contact now regarding the move.

Whats annoying is that we need more than one so could really do with bringing someone else in. I'll e very surprised not to mention pissed off if we don't.

    Thank you.

I suspect if certain sales are made we might grab a mid, though Milner getting an extra year did seem telling.

May see 4-2-3-1 here and there to rest mids more.

Maybe Touchy-tail was our only target and nobody else as an alternative now he's gone?

He seems to be an all rounder midfielder can see why we went for him.

Nunes is the one to watch he is available for around £35m maybe we go for him ??

If we dont sign one CCTV may get his wish of 4231

We've been linked with Sangare too a fair bit.

    Who plays as the 10?

Can maybe see more of a 4-2-4 with Nunez/Jota or Nunez/Firmino up top.

Assuming Mane is off, who plays covers the left? Where does Carvalho play? Lots of questions without answers at the moment.
