Can maybe see more of a 4-2-4 with Nunez/Jota or Nunez/Firmino up top.

Assuming Mane is off, who plays covers the left? Where does Carvalho play? Lots of questions without answers at the moment.
Id guess Firmino Carvalho Elliott Jones could play that role.

Minamino if he stays can play it.

    I would like another CM.

I don't see 4231, I think it restricts our full backs and one of the points of signing Nunez will be to maximise what they bring

I don't think our CMs in any combination have the legs to play in a 2, Fab isn't a DM and he doesn't have legs to begin with, Hendo's slowed down, as has Millie, Thiago and Fab both get out of position as both did in the lead up to Real's winner in the Champions League

Other than Carvalho, we don't have a true No10 either, we'd really want a De Bruyne type of midfielder in that role were we going to play that way, for me we genuinely don't have the mids defensively or offensively to play 4231, our players are still comfortably best suited to 433

As with last summer we STILL desperately need to sign at least one top mid, just a big fat waste of another season if we go into next season a top quality mid short, 20-21 failed season leaving ourselves a CB short 21-22 Failed season in not bringing home either of the true major trophies through leaving ourselves a top quality mid short 22-23 More of the same if we don't sort our shit out

DO NOT let our wonderful gaffer have his pick for the midfielder, we've had that with Thiago and Fabinho and neither are good enough, let him have his pick of the transfer model targets, we'd likely have another league title and Champions League trophy in the cabinet if we hadn't let him bin Gini off for the injury prone all fur coat and no knickers

I'd have taken Bissouma at 25m mind No SPurs have THREE better DMs than Fab

And this really should be a clear indicator, if one were needed, of just how much Klopp seems able to elevate a player beyond their actual ability.

    Poor Gini.

Think that was Poch too (taking nowt away from Klopp).

They've parted ways with him now, haven't they?

I think we have a group that would suffer a similar fate in Gini’s shoes.

I love Gini btw but think playing inside out system cocooned him a little. Go express yourself….and well, playing alongside Mbappe and Neymar and now Messi is intimidating.

We have a few who would stain their pants in the same situation
