I don't understand why a bot would be on here??

Maybe 19x is a bot too? he says the same things very often, and repeats in thread about 100 times until the bot thinks people have finally listened ?

Then we added 4 that summer Alisson and Fabinho the top level with Naby (signed the year before I know - but only started that summer) and the very skilled Shaqiri too. So that was 3/5 senior signings that summer on top of VVD..in all 3 zones of the pitch (Shaq attack). That is what took us up a couple of levels.

We need at least the same this summer or we will fall further behind imo

I think we need minimum 1 senior CB possibly 2. We need at least 2 first team players into that midfield, preferably players who can play more than one way...We also need a genuine alternative to Trent. A Tsimikas for the right.

Unfortunately, I think it is unlikely that we get those signings.
Like i said earlier be lucky to sort the midfield never mind anything else..... needs outs and ins simple, most of the midfield can go even jones isn't good enough, but home-grown otherwise he'd be gone.

Record profits should do it surely?

    then next summer CB area..

I foresee two mids coming in, possibly a free transfer centre-back like N'Dicka ahead of an eventual Matip transfer and a free/low cost goalie coming in to cover the departure of Adrian or Kelleher.

Suspect we'll work behind the scenes to encourage a top prospect centre-back target (Gvardiol as an example) to sit tight with a view to us buying him in next Summer's window.

Think the attack will be left alone - Gakpo, Núńez, Diaz, Jota, Salah are great options and I imagine we'll trust that someone like Doak or Gordon will break through as a 6th-choice option sooner rather than later.

Think we'll be happy enough at left-back and trust that Ramsay or a youth player can cover right-back here and there to occasionally rest Trent, with Gomez still an option there if centre-backs are fit.

Think the emergence of Bajcetic and the continued improvement of Elliott will see us go for two mids, rather than the three some Reds are clamouring for. Morton is an interesting one for me - part of the squad versus another loan is an intriguing choice to make. Jones will stay because he's Homegrown though an eventual upgrade would be lovely - perhaps we hope to bring a couple of prospects to so we can "afford" (talking Homegrown slots here, not finances) to sell him in time but not yet.

Just genuine replacements for Keita and Ox will do me for next season.

    NEW HOLDING CM
    NEW RUNNING CM
    Thiago
    Henderson
    Fabinho
    Bajcetic
    Milner
    Jones
    Elliot
    Morton

There's enough quality in there (assuming the two brought in are good players!) and enough depth.

Maybe another one if Milner leaves.

    Wholesale clear out

    Keep
    Henderson
    Bajcetic
    Jones
    Elliott
    Morton

Bring in a new No6 and a couple of controllers

Koopmeiners could be a good signing for LCM controller with his distribution skills being EXACTLY what our forwards and full backs thrive of and provide cover for Virgil as like when we had Emre Can, he can also operate at CB, listed as playing CM CDM CB No10, just the kind of versatility Jurgen loves

We need mids who can play the switches and medium to long balls over the top and diagonals for the runs in behind and forward runs of our full backs, at present we only have Hendo, Trent, Diaz and Nunez who can play switches of the required quality, we need more mids who can
