I think the paying of wages is also an issue..With losing massive earners in the summer. I doubt we are willing to match what other teams are offering.. Just bizarre how we were willing to pay 111 million for Caicedo.. strange and completely out of the blue that

Back to the drawing board. Who's out there?
Pricey options exist (with varying levels of realistic "gettability") such as Tchouameni,
Valverde, Kimmich, Florentino Luis, Palhinha, Doucoure - you'd imagine prices ranging from Ł65m to Ł120m or more.
Cheaper (relatively speaking) options also exist in Kone, Goretzka (not a pure DM of course) Amrabat, Adams (if he hasn't gone to Chelsea yet) Andre, Sangare, Gravenberch, Fofana....there will be others.
Not all are natural options and I may have lost track of whether or not all are still at their current clubs as I don't sit and hit F5 on a PC all day ) what's the point?) but there is bound to be someone out there that we can afford, whose valuation (by parent club) tallies with ours or close enough.
Really...? Sounds a little far fetched to me. But I think he will walk in time. I don't see him here until the contract is up. He won't make a stink for Wrinkle Dick and probably knows that the lustre has gone. Unless something huge happens to flip our squad to the tune of 2 more quality mids.. we are on a hiding to nothing dear JockStrap..
