Dread to think where we’ll be once Klopp goes.

Well, Klopp is an excellent Manager who has by-and-large been part of overseeing some excellent recruitment.

So to compare to the job he inherited, the next Manager will likely have -

- a bigger stadium than what Klopp started with
- a better/deeper attack than what Klopp started with
- a better/deeper midfield than what Klopp started with
- a better/deeper defence than what Klopp started with
- a better goalkeeper than what Klopp started with
- a better-balanced and more cohesive squad than the mish-mash that Klopp picked up from Rodgers

Will we have as scintillating and cohesive a starting XI as 17/18-to-19/20 Liverpool? Probably not - but we'll be grand. Just need to pick a decent Manager and while there aren't an infinite amount of them around, we will have access to a greater percentage of the best available compared to 99% of the footballing Pyramid - unless of course the Saudi Arabian League has inherited them all.

Should that happen fans may end up re-aligning their thoughts on where their priorities lie - the community aspect of going to the game and seeing friends likely overtaking the pressing need to be "the best" etc - but that's a problem to worry about later.

I think Sid the frustration with supporters lies with the fact that as amazing as it has been with Klopp it could have been a really trophy laden period , a real golden era , we had to wait 30 years for our title and if Klopp was backed financially we could have made it a few on the bounce. The stadium and what looks like a shrewd investment in youth a more big plus points , but a Klopp is a generational manager , it would of been good to see what Liverpool could of done if he was backed seriously every season

Of course you never really know with a player untried in the prem, but apparently Klopp really rates him, and he has very good judgement in players wouldn't you say.?

Klopp is exceptional at spotting players. That's what makes him one of the great managers. If Gravenberch is being bought to be the number 6, it would appear he is 3rd choice.

The problem most have is, they bought the club for something like 300 million. It's now worth anything from 4 to 5 billion apparently. They've invested heavily on the ground but no doubt took out loans against the value of the club. We're selling off players to bring players in, instead of bulking up the squad. We've the smallest squad in the league which as we'll find this weekend with a centrehalf injured isn't the best to have going into a long season.
We need players added to the squad or we'll be fucked come next March.

NESV/FSG have not invested a cent in anything else. Nada. Every penny spent on Stands and Axa has come out of revenue generated by the club. It has gone against transfer budget.

Even if they had spent their own money on the stands.. £180 million., That’s investing heavily? No chance - that’s peanuts. To redevelop Anfield. So that’s an entire stadium for £360 million. Barely more than. 1/3 of what the mighty Spurs spent.

You might even take it IF they were backing Klopp to the hilt But they have done the opposite. Super fast repayments bank loans for the latest infrastructure too.
