When you say we can't win top four without him, that's EXACTLY what you're saying about his teammates, mate.

No, I'm saying without him, I still think we have enough - with Klopp's hand at the helm, as well as the other players he's assembled - to at least get to top four and possibly even challenge for the title.

Will we miss his goals? Of course we will.
But that doesn't mean we can't adapt and find new players to step up and give us those goals even if they all don't come from one player.

I have more faith in Klopp and the other players than you do.
    Clearly.

Not to please me but rather to end speculation as to whether he's leaving or not, which whether you want to admit it or not is unsettling for a club trying to get back to challenging for things.

I appreciate his contribution a lot.
I aslo appreciate the fact that at the end of the day, he's just one player, and he's not bigger than the club, and no different from Coutinho when he was in this exact situation so many years ago.

Did the club go into a tailspin after Coutinho (at the time considered by most to be the best player in the squad) left?

    Of course not.
We went and got to the Champion's league final that same season, and then got back there again in the following season and won it. Right before winning title number 19 the season that followed that.

Thankfully the people around the club had more faith and confidence in Coutinho's former teammates here at the club as well as the manager than you seem to do in Salah's current teammates and Klopp.

If he leaves,..... YES,.... I believe not only we would get top four but we can also challenge for the title even though not win it (which, our odds are not that much better even with MO in the squad).

If Allisson left, YES, I absotutely believe with a suitable replacement whether that replacement is Kelleher or someone else - we would still challenge for top four (and get it) and still be in the mix for challenging fo the title.
    100%

That's just how much faith I have in the manager and the other players.

    Unlike you.

I have plenty of faith in Jürgen Klopp. Any manager loses his best player and he's up against it.
Personally don't think many LFC fans or non fans would see us make the top four if Salah goes now or in January.

Mo Salah is one of the greatest players to have played for us. One of the best ever in the Premier League. In Premier League we had Gerrard, Suarez, Torres, all stories end in football.

If Mo left the team would score lots of goals. The Mo that is leaving is the older Mo not the 31 PL goal season Mo. He is still influential last week against Newcastle showed the Mo he will be going forward. More creative still drawing attention cause of his reputation but his full speed is gone. He will score about 11-15 in the league and that will be a brilliant season. Cause I see Sz8 and the rest scoring more than the midfield that left.

Jota, Diaz has goals. If Nunez plays every week he will comfortably score 20×, Gakpo will also chip in. Plus Trent, Virgil.

Sadly Mo will go either retirement or transfer, fantastic servant.

Klopp is the best at getting a group of people to believe. This young squad are well capable of top 4.

Yeah I would be (pleasantly) surprised if we had such a gap - and I would still rather not sell Mo (this season) but it's all about the ever-changing situation/context. Ł200m would represent a lot for a 31-year old and the potential of what we could do with those sorts of funds and the saved Ł350kpwk wages is worth exploring if the opportunity comes up at a time that suits us. Selling him in the next two weeks would be lunacy for me.

To be fair if we DID end up having a gap in teams in January then we are (potentially) in a title race - and if we ended up in a title race you 100% want to keep Mo around for that reason alone.

Mohamed Salah, 31, has told his Liverpool team-mates that he wants to stay at Anfield as Saudi club Al-Ittihad continue to express an interest in the Egypt forward. (Mirror)

They are indeed and there are senior figures (some will play more than others) who can help guide them through.

    - Alisson
    - Van Dijk
    - Matip
    - Robertson
    - Thiago
    - Salah

All players who are near (or over) the age of 30 and have been around for a while. Trent at 24 is "senior" in a different way but was involved in us winning things, as was Gomez.

We have a really nice blend going. Of that list of 6 "older" players (I know Endo is 30 but he is new to this side) we will likely see Thiago and/or Matip depart at the end of the season so this is a pretty excellent blend we have of age profile/seniority to wean relatively recent additions (Konate, Gakpo, Diaz, Núńez) through while very new additions (Szoboszlai, Mac Allister, Gravenberch) show us what they're made of whilst still surrounded by players who have won the League and Champion's League for us.

Ideally a Top Four finish (I think we are extremely capable) and with luck a Cup win as well - the Europa League being my preference as it's a good warm-up for a Champion's League campaign - similar format etc - but even a League Cup would be brilliant just to get these lads a taste of success. As some of our older lads gradually get closer to 33/34 or so over the coming seasons, we'll be losing more members of the squad that have won the biggest trophies for us under Klopp, so a trophy this season or next is potentially quite important to get Klopp's 2.0 side rolling.
