According to that article you posted....

We've net spent 4 times more than city over the last decade on players.

There's a 1.1billion difference between cities net spend as I've added it up, and that article saying they've net spent €59 mill on players over the last decade

Not really, I just posted it as a curiosity because there were some surprising claims.

Yeah mancitue spending €5.9 mill a year net on transfers is a curious claim 🤔

59 million is far less than 1.176 billion

I mean I've not read the article, but I've seen it posit that Mancity ran a net spending loss of 61m euros over the last decade on player transfers.

    From my own thread:

    LFC
    ● Earnt €800 mill from player sales valued at €1,315 mill.
    Recouping 61% of their value
    ● Spent €1,298 mill on €1,591 mill of players.
For €1 spent, we signed €1.23 euros of player.
    ● for our net spend of €498 mill - our net gain in MV was €276m

    Manc
    ● Earnt €798 mill from player sales valued at €1,683mill.
    Recouping 47% of their value
    ● Spent €1,974 mill on €2,220 mill of players.
For €1 spent, they signed €1.12 euros of player.
    ● for their net spend of €1,176 mill - their net gain in MV was €537 m
    46% effective by MV

Still it's nice to know I'm doing more 'research' & deeper analysis than the 'professional media'

What perfect timing for FSG, Klopp’s announcement coming out during the transfer window. Normally they announce players signing new contracts to keep us happy. Great game plan and distraction by them. Now we’re all mourning about losing Klopp and not bothered about new recruitment. Going to be interesting to see how Klopp’s “LAST DANCE” plays out. Wouldn’t it be a fairytale ending if we won everything this season.

Getting those cameras in behind the scenes for their pals at Netflix to widen the global merchandising potential THE priority for the business men. All that product they can shift off the back of that. Strike while the iron is hot.

It’s like after a near miss quad. You announce the club is up for sale. Cash in when the stock is high… They know Jurgen is so great he can weather these storms - so they march on in relentless fashion. Money is money after all and its own reward.

Seems it was one of the straws that broke the Camels back. Not that the great man will ever say it, but something has dawned on him and he didn’t sign a contract in good faith and then realise he wasn’t up to it UNLESS the goal posts moved.
