Lynch reporting the Zubimendi deal unlikely.
"According to @LewisSteele_ Real Sociedad put on a presentation in hopes to convince Zubimendi to stay, referencing all the local scenery and food options."
Can someone not let me take him Birdwatching and we'll get him a Gregg's sausage roll after?
I’d be far more surprised if he came to Anfield than he if didn’t.
we have made an offer. he doesnt wanna come thats his choice.. hes a good player and doenst win anything so be it
Cleaning up the Scots since the 13th century
To be fair, in terms of where he grew up, boyhood club yadda Yadda this is probably semi-comparable to a club trying to pry Stevie away like Chelsea attempted to at the end of 04/05 so if he stays we would "get it" or whatever.
I can't imagine that the whole thing isn't sorted (us buying the player or going to another target) by Monday - so not long to wait.
I'm still quite optimistic we'll manage it actually, though I think we may end up paying a premium that we will find out about further down the road.
Fair enough
But you seem to be suggesting that recruitment is more of a deciding factor now than it was then when Rafa was here - and I see that as wrong - based on the players that were here when Klopp arrived certainly vs what Rafa inherited and the players signed by Rafa - certainly in that 2009 side compared to the ones we have now.
Hand Rafa anything like the Coutinho dosh and I am sure the squad he builds onto that superb 13- 14 players is at the very least a match for the best we had under Jurgen - as a group of players.
Beyond that we are talking about an elite manager vs a once in a lifetime manager. Klopp is a total one off and IMO did things here that Whisky nose - Pep and Rafa would not be able to do with the same tools.
On the sale of Coutts and subsequent purchase of Virg and Allison - and any parallel with that of Crouch and Bellamy has totally lost me I'm afraid - Do not get the point.
