Some surprising transfer links over the last few days!

£6m seems like a poor return for Bobby Clark.

Why bring in a keeper? Why not send Kelleher on loan until Ali leaves?

Carvalho deal makes sense and is a good bit of business.

If Bajcetic is going out on loan then another defensive midfielder must surely be coming in.

I'm thinking the Zubimendi deal must be going through if SB is allowed on loan. If it was a no go I'd imagine they would have moved on by now.

Big John after buying the Boston Celtics now.
Another fan base who'll be pissed off with that mo'fo. More glitzy nights out for Linda though and that's what matters.

To answer the first question, Giorgi Mamardashvili has everything in his locker in terms of potential - unless things go wrong for him he will be a keeper of a high, high calibre. Hard to imagine many getting to Alisson's level, but Giorgi may get close - think of a Donnarumma for example.

Going for players that have the potential to be one of the best in the World should absolutely be our position.

As to Kelleher, it may have been deemed that he doesn't have quite as high a ceiling as Mamardashvili and he has been reported to want to be a starting XI keeper - would be surprised if he accepted another loan.

That Georgian keeper is excellent. There have been rumours about Saudi being interested in Alison Becker, maybe next season, not this. So it's a good move.
Pity about Bobby Clarke, I had high hopes for him, but understand players have to leave or we will end up like Chelsea with a chaotic squad of forty players.

    So £27m from Carvalho
    £9m from Solanke
    £6m from Clarke

I assumed the £6m for Clark was the loan fee lol.

Edit: Someone on Twitter saying £6m is the opening bid but we want £10-12m

Yeah Kelleher won’t accept a loan, he is ready to be the number one at a premier league caliber club. I don’t see him staying much longer unless Ali leaves or is out long term.
