I would love to know (pretty impossible to answer as football has so many phases prior to a goal) how much his lack of pressing and the lack of effort from some others effects their game - in an actually quantifiable, percentage sort of a way.
They conceded 57 goals last season - only conceded 29 the season before - I know we drubbed them twice but that is a stark difference - practically double.
As much as Ronaldo scores, he "costs" the team as well. That massive contrast isn't solely his fault of course but it will be intriguing to see if the team benefits via his absence, even though his goal-scoring output would be missed if he leaves.
