The market is absolutely nuts at the moment and these inflated fees will only make it worse going forward - particularly for Premier League players.

Think we will largely continue to develop Academy lads, buy young talents before their fees are extortionate and buy from the Portuguese League before those prices sky-rocket as well.

There are players out there who can probably perform at about 85% of the level of a different target in their position, but at 20% of the price - some fees just make no sense to me - with Harry Maguire's cost probably being the worst example of how to waste money. Him being a Donkey (at a huge fee) will also have ruined the market for centre-backs, compared to Van Dijk who was worth every penny.

What an imbecilic comment. Conor was a terrific academy player, moved on for the right reasons , been brilliant at Wolves and loves LFC.
