To me the only reason Philips started over Gomez. is the facts Gomez has signed a long term contract and Philips was about to leave. so theres no reason for Gomez to complain.. Philips was probably promised game time if he remained.. All because Matip gets a free pass with his injury record.
Still no idea where Fimino was last night either..

Our fellow forum member kop in Portugal thinks very highly of him just like he did on Diaz. Not so highly thought of with poor Darwin though.
It's good to have some local insight to their players.

Gomez was apparently carrying a knock so probably sports science decision.

When he came on we defended much better if you play Phillips you have to defend a touch deeper.

He certainly didnt look injured when he came on looked very good at defending and breaking with the ball.

We pushed trent more forward when he came on. So Gomez covered the right hand side.

For a team that was 1-0 up against 10 men should've done alot better.

Yeah Palace were terrible as soon as we went down to ten.

Flip side is they will be delighted with the point.

I'm concerned at what ive seen so far against two average/poor teams.
