    Chelsea agree Fofana deal

Chelsea have reached a verbal agreement with Leicester over a fee for Wesley Fofana.

Sky Sports News has been told that the agreed fee is for £70m plus add-ons, but the detail of the structure of payments, and exact terms of add-ons are still to be decided.

However, the ultimate fee is unlikely to go beyond £75m. Personal terms between Fofana and Chelsea are expected to be agreed quickly and will not bring up any problems.

That's the way it always is till the team has enough of a chance to show top players they can win trophies (and earn shitloads)

When the oil came to city, they did quite similar and upgraded a bunch of players they had already overpaid for just a season or two ago.

Some of the fees they are paying is crazy. With a possible 60million+ for Gordon to add to the other 200 odd million.

Antony deal looks like going through, £85m on the back of £60m Casimero.

    Our rivals are spending fortunes.

Brilliant signing for them, reckon this one will be worth the money sadly.

And still they'll moan about underinvestment.

It's a shame that we gave them a massive confidence boost. Purely from watching the highlights, I thought they looked decent against Southampton.

Manchester United have agreed a deal with Ajax for Brazil winger Antony.

It is understood United will pay an initial fee of £80.75m, with a further £4.25m in add-ons.

The 22-year-old is due to arrive in Manchester to complete a medical within the next 48 hours.

Antony would become Manchester United's joint-second most expensive signing alongside defender Harry Maguire - the £89m paid for Paul Pogba remains the club's record.

United travel to Leicester City in their next Premier League fixture on Thursday, 1 September, but Antony would need to receive a work permit before making an appearance.

The forward would become United's fifth signing of the summer, following the arrivals of his former Ajax team-mate, defender Lisandro Martinez, midfielder Casemiro from Real Madrid, full-back Tyrell Malacia from Feyenoord and playmaker Christian Eriksen on a free transfer.

Speculation also remains as to whether Cristiano Ronaldo will stay at the club following concerns about how the 37-year-old's mood is affecting morale in the camp.

When it comes to wingers.. they really need to be special. Otherwise they'll end up like Stuart Downing...

Looks a decent offer to me

Chelsea have offered Everton Albania striker Armando Broja, 20, and England midfielder Conor Gallagher, 22, plus £25m in return for 21-year-old English attacker Anthony Gordon. (Football Insider)
