Very direct, part of what made him such a handful when he played against us. Unorthodox for certain and needs to relax at times but the signs are clearly very encouraging. Sometimes a slower start than Haaland is better in the long run.

    ‘Under the radar’

With better touch he would have scored double what he has so far, which would put him ahead of the Norwegian freak on goals per minute

He will be fine he never hides and always gets chances that is a good sign.

Silly fans chanting "A shit Andy Carroll" are going to look very stupid when he is bagging 20-25 a season.

Drogba started like this too and to my eyes I would put him up for a shout as best CF in premier league history he had everything and I was always worried when he played us.

    Indeed!

Chances are more than just the finish - the movement has to be there, the anticipation and the control if it isn't a first-time effort.

Frustrating as any missed "sitter" may be, a striker generally has to do everything else right to have the opportunity to miss the sitter to begin with.

He is regularly getting chances and regularly scoring for us. Very happy thus far.

If the media want to compare him to Haaland, well, whatever. I want him to be the best Núñez he can be. Anything else is just noise.

    And it begins:

Arsenal legend Nigel Winterburn plays down Gabriel Jesus’ lack of goals as Liverpool’s Darwin Nunez overtakes him with six strikes this season.

Just read that stat, he's done it in almost half the minutes too.
I am warming to him like.
    Jesus 1076 mins, 5 goals
    Big lad 632 mins , 6 goals.

Yep, in terms of minutes that is basically 6 goals in 7 sets of 90 minutes.

Know it doesn't work like that. Still. Excellent rate of conversion.

I was massively concerned when we signed him. At this stage, with our form, I'm just glad that he's scored some goals. There's lots of room for improvement. If we were playing anything like our best, he would have had 12 or so goals by now.
