There’s ties he looks so like fernando Torres when he runs through and finishes. Hope he can kick on now

Hahaha The time to get the lottery numbers off me was in....gosh I think it was 12/13 - the memory is fuzzy.
I thiiiiink the backdrop was Suarez had been booked (perhaps ended up suspended as a result of accumulative yellows) for a hand-ball. I said at the time (on the forum) that Borini would end up scoring in the next game (something he wasn't in the habit of doing) and do his "knife between the teeth" celebration and that a red top newspaper would say Borini was paying tribute to Suarez's handball/bite history (hadn't bitten Chiellini yet but had bitten a lad when at Ajax) and moan about it.
It actually bloody happened and all - think it was the Daily Mirror. Was just ridiculously funny. Occasionally the set-up for an article writes itself before the event and that was one of those.
Delighted with Klopp's subs today. I often say that a flaw of Klopp's is his management/choices when it comes to subs but I felt he nailed it today. Jota and Elliott did good work when they came on and Núñez's contribution speaks for itself.

Some fitting audio
For a delightful double
What a win!!
I too was yelling like crazy to bring on Nunez from half time.
He might miss when we're 1-0 up, but he's random enough to also score a crazy goal.
He's got the pace and unpredictable style to make a difference in this kind of game.
Yesterday was perfect for him. Exhausted defenders, acres of space.
He seems to struggle against a deep defence. A while ago people were saying he Gakpo was a better option.
Not sure what to make of big Darwin to be honest.
I bet you can squeal like a pig!
Interesting…

Darwin Núñez: “I had a chat with Marcelo Bielsa over Zoom. He showed me some of my games and corrected some things. It was a very good talk.”
In Conclusion, the way to play Nunuz,
Don't let him think, Don't let him have the ball, just create chances for him to chase the ball and finish it.
He would thrive in Man City's system. Pep has them set up in such a way where Haaland just has to hang onto the gap between two centre-backs or the gap between a centre-back and full-back.
With our set-up we are still adjusting to a life after the central striker acting as a false nine dropping deep and helping the midfield while the wide players work ahead of him.
With Núñez we are not set up to permit him doing little-to-no work off the ball as we couldn't get away with both Salah and Núñez not participating in the press to the same degree as other lads.
I do think we'll gradually transition to a set-up whereby Núñez starts up top as the chances he creates for himself and the chances that others can create for him means there would be enough shot volume for him to be getting goals, but we're still somewhat at "Klopp 1.5" rather than "Klopp 2.0" so I expect plenty of matches to come where he doesn't start.
Plus we have 5 good attackers and need to rotate anyway to keep lads happy. What we do with Gakpo when Núñez really breaks in will be interesting.
