We’ve essentially gone from two of the world’s best forwards at LFWD & RFWD being right up top playing on the shoulder making runs in behind who both were 20 goal a season most seasons forwards & being easily able to use the entire width & open teams up with ease with switches, balls through the channel, balls over the top long diagonals, crosses and both our LFWDs & RFWDs ability to stop defenders then burst away from them & create something for themselves or others
To a diamond in the rough lone front man who might get 2 thirds of the goals & assists of either Mane or Salah & who we haven’t done enough with to hone & properly utilise his abilities
You can talk about style, shape, formation and system as much as you want, the simple fact is that the players are getting into some good postions but simply not either finishing or making the right pass. It's as simple as that.
Doesnt matter what set up you have, you cant be missing the chances Darwin has had over the last two matches. And to be fair to him, Mo and Diaz havn't covered themselves in glory recently either.
