    Sadio Mané leaving Liverpool after £35m Bayern Munich offer accepted

    • Forward to have medical and will cost Bayern guaranteed £28m
    • Barcelona preparing new offer for Bayern’s Robert Lewandowski

    Liverpool have accepted Bayern Munich’s latest offer for Sadio Mané and the forward is due to have a medical before signing a three-year contract. Bayern are paying a guaranteed £28m and the fee could reach £35m with add-ons.
    Mané told Liverpool of his desire to leave soon after the Champions League final and made Bayern his preferred destination. Bids from the German champions were turned down before a deal was reached on Friday.

    He has won the lot with us basically. FA Cup, League Cup, Premier League, Champion's League.

    He was THE signing that really kick-started our change in fortunes for me. Absolutely fabulous signing. Wish him well (except against us) and hopefully he can get a winner against Man City or Real Madrid at some stage in a Bayern shirt. Only for us to knock Bayern out in the next round.... naturally.

    Bayern got a bargain. Still an exceptional player. I wish him well in his semi retirement until he plays us.

    An awesome player. A key player in what is probably the best spell we'll witness as LFC fans for a long time. Hopefully not but maybe our lifetime.
    A genuinely great person. I'll miss him a lot, I'm gutted but wish him the best.
