Trent needs to learn to drop back sometimes and balance it better.

was 3v2 at the back then city favour covering midfield nowhere to be seen, because they're too slow.

Wish we had a strong fast young unit in midfield, that literally could be the difference.

Very good half, particularly when you take into consideration who we’re playing.
    Everyone played well, especially Thiago.

Nice end to end game. I'd take a 1-0 now. Winning breeds confidence...

In terms of "mould" what would you most want?

We will have more possession than most sides, so would a "Mascherano" to protect against counters be you dream signing? A box-to-box? A "Busquets" to dictate?

Yes even the Thiago doubters on here can't deny he has been very good, offensively and defensively.
    All looking sharp.
    Miss Alissons distribution though.

We look quite sharp, which is comforting given that we know there is more to come from us in the weeks that will follow.

Man City lacking a little bit of their usual cohesion for me, particularly out left where Sterling would operate, though they'll undoubtedly get into a groove by September or October - if not earlier.

Good workout, decent goal, poorer thereafter.

Looked like we were sitting deeper and compact in the earlier part of the half.
After the goal we pushed higher and opened up spaces for city who've dominated chances since we scored.

Would like to see Nunez second half

Started well, nice finish from Trent but looked like a keepers ball until it hit Ake’s bonce.

City playing all the football since we scored. Captain needs to impose himself even if just a tiny weeny bit when we have the ball. Can’t play with a 2 man midfield when we have the ball.

What do you think of Haaland, though?

Feel he's to busy trying to score a "special" goal at the moment.
