Imagine being a Palace player and seeing that midfield.

I think Nat Phillips will do well, not a huge fan of the midfield , hope to really see Harvey Elliot take his chance tonight , be bold with his passing

    And?
Jürgen gets by on a midfield composed of anyone almost.
Our threat comes from defence or attack
Palace will be more afraid and focussed on that!

Weak enough midfield as has already been said, I think we need to bring in a strong midfielder before the window closes at the end of the month. On a different note, I believe Sky Bets' offer of 4/1 for Salah and Nunez to have 2 shots each on target or more is a great bet.

Gomez does better at right back. Phillips is more composed at centre back. Interesting selection

I Look at the starting 11, then the bench. I seriously can’t see us winning anything this season. How can we have two injury hit seasons out of the last three.

My concern would be that Palace are about pace and trickery up front, not what you would normally pick Phillips over Gomez to defend against.

Not confident having seen our line up and bench.

Agree Miller. Despite Gomez at cB being less than encouraging - it looked like the right opposition for that.

Phillips - on the deck…hmm. Let’s hope that we overwhelm them with our blistering attack.

The 12th man in wonderful voice - come on the reds

The 2nd game of the season and if we are being realistic we are using our 5th choice cb, and arguably our 5th and 6th choice midfielders. We have no back up striker on the bench. Sounds mad. 2nd game of the season and struggling to get our strongest lineup out.

Building year by the looks. I’m convinced Jurgen is set on rebuilding for a serious lash at the big trophies in the last 2 years of his contract. Think it’ll be next summer before midfield starts to be rebuilt.
