Wouldn't mind seeing him. Steve Nicol thinks he is crap. Alisson thinks he is very good. Who do you believe?

Well i'm going to go with Alisson on this as he has seen him first hand.

Also if Barca Juve Liverpool go for you its abit stupid of Nicol to say "He is crap" even if he didnt use those words.

He is very bitter towards us has been for a while.

Caoimhin Kelleher - Currently Missed 6 league games due to injury. Injured in pre-season / on international duty?


Defenders - Currently 2 Injured
Calvin Ramsay - Currently Missed 6 league games due to injury. No return date.

Ibrahima Konate - Currently Missed 6 league games due to injury. Injured in pre-season. No return date.


Joel Matip - Currently Missed 3 league games due to injury. No longer injured.


Midfielders - Currently 4 Injured
Jordan Henderson - Currently Missed 1 league game due to injury. Played the 1st 5 and got injured against Newcastle. Looks like he will be out for 3 weeks.

Naby Keita - Currently Missed 6 league games. The 1st game was due to illness and the next 5 are due to "injury". Injured himself falling over at training. Will he ever return? But will apparently be going off on international duty soon.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain - Currently Missed 6 league games due to injury. Injured in pre-season. Will he ever return?

Curtis Jones - Currently Missed 6 league games due to injury. Injured in pre-season. Has had a reoccurrence of his injury so still out injured.

Thiago Alcantara - Currently Missed 5 league games due to injury. No longer injured.


Attackers - Currently 0 Injured
Diogo Jota - Missed 5 league games due to injury. No longer injured.

Darwin Núñez - Missed 3 league games due to suspension. Back available.

Robertson acquired an injury in the 93rd minute against Napoli, but is expected to be back after the international break.

Curtis Jones still isn't available. Reading about his issues I wonder if he may suffer from shin splints but time will tell and speculation is relatively pointless.

Carvalho is apparently fine now after his dead leg incident.

Not injury-related as such, but indirectly a potential positive for us.

Thiago Alcantara wasn't selected for the Spain squad for these fixtures over the international break.

Elliott will be in the England U21 squad.

Carvalho will not be in the Portugal U21 squad.

One would think that neither are likely to make the senior squads for the World Cup, which should give us ample opportunity to prep them (be it rest, tactical instruction, bulking up, whatever...) for the second half of the season - though admittedly that's a while off just yet.
