Not ideal, needless to say - but whilst weathering the injury crisis I think all bets are off.
Perhaps - would have been a better game to try Elliott and Carvalho. The BS game always a leveller. But where is Jones? How bad must he look in training of Milner is getting the nod? I won’t even talk about that waste of space Keita…Looks to be gone already.

We’ve had 2 of Fab and Hendo available mostly and we have looked abject in there at best. Even v Bournemouth we were shocking in there at times. Midfield was better first half today than v the filthy. Second half - well Klopp just went all in.

We could get Schooled in Campania if we aren’t careful.

We need something very very clever from Jurgen in prep for mid week.

Jones is only coming back from injury.

If all is well against Napoli he might get 15-20 minutes.

Can't wait to have him back at the moment even if he's championship standard

Jones has shown glimpses of genuine quality. He just seems a little timid.
He obviously isn’t impressing hugely on the training ground though.

We need him to step up now

I've always been a fan of Curtis, it's all there he just needs the confidence to show it.
But that's the difference from the good to the very very good, they make the next step up.
My biggest concern is Trent and Robbo ,hopefully Southgate doesn't take him too the world cup and he has a rest along with Robbo, Salah and Diaz.

I said this in another thread, but potentially the worst thing he could have done (in terms of fan expectation) is score the screamer against Everton.

Klopp seems to have generally instructed him to play more like Wijnaldum in terms of being available for a pass, keeping it ticking along and holding things up when required, than the Stevie 2.0 mould that we are always hoping is going to come out of the Academy - or indeed the transfer market.

I don't mind if he never becomes a starting XI lad on a consistent basis. Do hope he can eventually develop into a Mr. Dependable rotation player - like Milner before he lost all of his pace.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is a dangerous lad out wide for them.

Hope we devise a suitable containment plan.
