Arsenal fans will be tugging themselves raw that they're top of the Table - we're denied a pen, they get a soft one and they get to play a second half against a Liverpool side that loses two first-teamers to injury when already missing the first-choice left-back and a host of midfield options.

Add that Mo is generally just running around semi effectively but not scoring anymore and you have a team that just doesn’t work like it’s designed to. Subbing him at 68 mins today just summed their problems up. There are no more tweeks left to get them going. It’s a squad that’s old and tired and lost its identity.

@CD that was a stat from Tyler during the game today. We have spent more minutes behind in games this season than the whole of last.
As we keep conceding in the first few minutes you can see how that could be.

It's certainly looking a tough climb right now.

Still. Look how bad it was in 20/21 - losing 6 games on the bounce at one stage around January. We still scraped it.

Mentally prepared for a loss to Man City, certainly. What we need to do now is fine a way (by hook or crook) to beat the mid-table and relegation sides - the likes of Chelsea/Spurs/Man United/Brighton/Man City will all take points off each other. With luck we can stay within a reasonable distance of the 4th-placed side and have a big push in the closing 10-12 games.

Not worth much analysis though. We need results ASAP.

Salah is being harshly judged as well he has lost a yard of pace that is clear and is expected to play how he did 2-3 years back.

I think Mané’s sale panicked the club into giving Salah his new contract when he’d been poor since AFCON. We’ll not see prime Salah again.
