    Your team v Man City

We needed a win against Rangers and a Napoli win v Ajax. We got both. The Champion's League has indeed proved a well-timed distraction from League woes.

As for Man City - I'll confess to having very little confidence in this one and have one eye on fixtures further down the road - so much so I made a thread on it.

Still - let's hope for a Cauldron atmosphere and giving this match a seriously good go. You never know!

Selection headaches in terms of personnel and team shape - curious to see what everyone comes up with.

    .........................Alisson

    Gomez.......Konate.......Van Dijk.....Robertson

    ..............Henderson......Thiago

    Salah.............Firmino......Jota

    ......................Núñez

Same against the mighty Rangers surely?!?!

Nunez scored so obviously he has to start, no matter how bad he was all game

Not this time, although, but for 3 wrong decisions, including 2 blatantly corrupt penalty decisions in which the on field ref and VAR officials both comprehensively failed to apply the laws of the game, it would have worked v Arsenal

I think this will be the team if all are fit.

I think a huge part of our slump in form has been down to Hendo forgetting to whisper "We're going to bum you" in the ear of the opposition players if I'm being honest, that's what got him POTY in 19-20

I think so, I think we'll leave that pair up, Bobby joining to make a 3 when we're attacking or build up for him to join at the right time and dropping into midfield to make a 4 when we're not, I think we'll press and try and block the lines for them to play through and get in positions and space to try and release fuck face, Fab and Thiago need to be all over bacon face, Hendo and Gomez need to combine to bum Foden, which I expect he'd rather enjoy and we can break on them

last time we were right in the shit, in 20-21 it was the 4312 that got us through and Champions League football

To be fair I don't think we'll do as bad as most of us expect, city never do that well at anfield.

might be in for a surprise, and hopefully it'll be the turning point......

or ..... well we get battered but yea.

Goals help to win games and he has scored in two games in a row. Bobby is scoring as well.

Offers an out-ball as he is pretty quick, can compete for defence and attack of set pieces.

Personal choice and all that. What would you go with yourself?

We really need to try to tighten things up. Not our strong point. If we play our normal open game, we’ll highly likely get torn apart. There’s no shame in having a cagey game against city. A dodgy 1-0 would suit me just fine.
I bet you can squeal like a pig!
