Which luiz ? And when? September past? Perhaps you are talking about Suarez?
Jurgen likes strong fast attackers but not bonafide CF.
Jurgen likes fast and forward thinking FBs but don't have to be good defenders.
Jurgen likes ball playing CBs who can move forward / backward fast
Jurgen likes midfielders who can cover the gaps and gapes those such players leave behind .
They are few and far between

Douglas Luiz the Aston Villa centre mid. Holds the middle of the park. Good dead ball taker good passer and actually has a shot on him. I reckon he’s good enough for a top 6 squad. Think he may have injured his knee today.

    Thanks Eggy.
Probably another player who excels from a low block.
Nobody plays such a ridiculous high line as us and only a ridiculously brilliant but modest midfielder would suit our current strategy
We were fortunate to have had 2 in Gini and hendo but the model is bust , we can't find replacements.
    Time to change the model.
Arsenal have slightly copied but gone deeper with the defensive line

A big problem we have right now is conceding first or not scoring in the first 3rd of the game ourselves. The high line doesn’t need to be as high if we can get ahead and look to control the game, something we did very well in our title season. I agree the high line is at times costing us now. Need to control games a bit better and move to the high line when we need a goal or are looking to blitz teams for a period.

We are so vulnerable to the long ball.
People are not plugging the gaps or breaking up play.

Maybe Klopp is looking to play 4231, with Fabinho plus Hendo or Thiago in holding positions and Gakpo, Firmino and Salah in a 3 behind Núñez, or a variation of the front 4 when Jota and Diaz are fit.
