but that's it for this season think gakpo may play a bit part and might need to, to get us there. Or nunez might actually start scoring then we're laughing with all the chances he gets, gakpo will only improve this, can see him gapko scoring a lot to be honest. maybe him and Nunez can drift into each others positions at times to make it harder for other team.

next season should be better if we sort the midfield, we need to it though longer we wait longer other positions age and start needing investment too.

Hopefully it's not the case of other teams improving a lot around us which has already started in a way, and us getting pushed out the top4 if we don't do what is needed that'll be the case, especially with newcastle. and chelsea splashing out so it seems. Utd improving too.

Salah and Nunez need to be more clinical, this will cover the cracks elsewhere but this isn't happening at the moment

Matching them at present (4 wins and a loss in the last 5 for both sides in the League) but we need to overtake. Think they play Arsenal and Man City in late Jan or early Feb so hopefully that helps.

Jurgen needs to recognise a problem in midfield.
He tries to bypass it with his tactics.
Sometimes attackers drop back
Sometimes defenders move forward
Midfielders need to do the miles and the not so beautiful stuff.
They are not doing it anymore.

Carragher was making a similar point the other day, saying our young midfield players like Carvalho and Elliott are more technical than high energy and it's affecting our play.

Amrabat don't fit our system owing to the very high line we deploy.

I really think he’s a very good player. Think he may have got injured today anyway.
