    Happy New Year

I don't celebrate christmas, but I would like to sincerely wish all the members of the forum a happy new year.
It is a great forum, diverse in many ways, and there are people who I disagree with about things football, but it remains a great resource for all of us to have contact and debate, and sometimes a joke at each others expense.
Have a great 2023. Especially those of you with difficult mental and physical situations.
    Onwards and upwards the lads.

Happy New Year to everyone on here.
Can't begin to tell you how much I enjoy this forum.
Some of the political/social stuff I see on here is truly eye-opening.
Best wishes for 2023 to you all.
There's too much confusion, I can't get no relief

Same. A lot of people I know had a really underwhelming (or in some cases genuinely dreadful) year.

I tried to close the year on a high by finding a Bird I've never managed to see before - called a Brambling, after a tip-off. As I should have expected (Sod's Law) I had no joy.

Today however I returned to the same area and was very meticulous with the eyes of another Birder to help and BAM! Managed to get it today for the first ever time - a "lifer" as we call it.

Hopefully this weekend (failure followed by success) is a bit of foreshadowing for a better year ahead. I'm elated. The simple pleasures
