Well that’s not true is it. He has been doing the job of 2 or more mids this season. In a team devoid of ANY attacking quality. He hasn’t been great - who has? But he has been by a distance our best until Bajcetic has been draftees in due to the dearth of options.

We saw the alternative today. It’s disastrous. Despite both Hendo and Fabinho having plenty of rest.

He laid waste to our attacking quality with his constant overplaying and complete inability to play the kind of direct balls of the necessary quality to release their runs in behind or our full backs runs into space on either side

Runs in behind - Runs from deep into space on either flank from our full backs - Both were the fulcrum of our attacking prowess, we bought a tappy crappy player who can't connect those runs and never tried to when the ball was on to, so our once formidable forwards and full backs stopped making those runs, causing and incredible breakdown of all our automation, making us incredibly easy for teams to press and for them to do to us what we used to do to them

Just think back to what Arteta said "We tried to press them, but when Van Dijk can hit a 30 yard ball straight to Salah's chest, that's quality"

We've stopped all of that, our forwards have stopped making the runs, mostly because of Thiago

You certainly are, Thiago is the main cause of great many of our issues - Klopp is equally as guilty as you as being like a teenage girl with a crush and a fantasy ideal of something while not being able to see it can never possibly work

Thiago is a great player, in a certain type of team, with a certain style of play, we don't play like that, our efforts to play like that are detracting from the very best skills of all our players and it's frankly a disaster, i have seen coming and called happening every single step of the way, just as I called Arteta raising Arsenal up that you, Kev and other visiionless, clueless know nothings tried to ridicule me for, but hey look now
