Hoping Alonso shapes up to be Jurgen’s successor, no real standout candidates out there to take the job right now that I can think of.

Hicks & Gillett weren't afraid to sack Rafa and then install Hodge before selling up, then the new owners installed an old fan favourite to steady the ship. Stevie G likes this.
To people saying Klopp has to motivate the players, what do they suggest? more money? warm weather breaks? hugs? come on guys we can finish 10th here if we really try hard.

Yeah i like the idea of Alonso taking over. Just hope Jurgen has a season to get us to another title.. hes got 3 more years (hopefully)
Cleaning up the Scots since the 13th century
Indeed.
I'm essentially mentally resetting my expectations in this shell-shocked side in the short-term and looking at the mid-long term in terms of a rebuild.
I think things will get a bit worse before getting better, but that when we do get "better" (that won't be an instant bounce back into challenging for a Title or anything) then the squad will certainly still (probably) look better than the one Jürgen inherited - and we managed to build something very exciting within a couple of seasons.
Sid, mate, in 2023, after 4 games we are bottom of the league with 1 point from 12, are you saying we will get 0 points from the next 4 games??
Pearce has said he was told tonight that Klopp reacted the way he did to him because of something he read in the last few days that was not written by Pearce but presumably was in The Athletic. Who knows, but the reaction was indeed strange and shows a man under massive pressure.
I wouldn't want Klopp to walk or be sacked, but he needs to sort himself out too.
This lack of investment claim, is a little silly as I see it. As others have said also, there's been money to spend, net spend/investments, shit we could have signed Enzo and Wolves's Nunes last summer.
Ignoring investments, there's been a lack of action from the management.
Conceded first in 17 of our last 23 games, or something very close to that reality.
Keeping Elliot rcm, Trent at right back, and 433 all through the season when we've been shite defensively.
Today 2 goals in the opening 12 minutes. No adapting to the reality of this season.
So long as we're in the PL next season, I can write this season off.
But I'd be tempted to P45 Lijnders tomorrow, pay up Keita & Ox releasing them from lfc, and play our young lads ahead of next season.
