I am hoping it is just the exhaustion that was evident even in 2021.

Nothing would surprise me at this point, but my strongest sense is just that he wants to preserve his health. That he owes it to his family and himself to remain sane and physically sound. That the energy he has been expending in dragging this former sleeping giant along with him to the very top - then fighting like mad to maintain it - all on a self sustaining model basis - is just too great.

The man has aged too much too soon.
