Yeah but they lost Gabby Jesus who was their leading scorer and haven’t missed a beat. Nketiah has filled in well and they look hungry for the title. They would need several injuries to slip up at the form they have shown. Long way to go but City look like a more expensive version of our burnt out players. Difference is their bench is worth more than many team’s first XI.

Tottenham get their win against Fulham in the end. They're still in contention. Man City match for them soon.

April will be interesting for them. Unless there are rescheduled fixtures they will have Newcastle, Man United and us on the spin - whether they finish in the Top Four or not, they're going to have an influence on it.

I highly doubt that any team currently in the top 4 will drop out

You may be right. I still think Newcastle draw too often and that the failure to convert more of those draws into wins may scupper them in the latter stages (Gameweeks 30-38) but only time will tell.

With Man United I think it will depend on how well they get through the upcoming cluster of games. They have the two League Cup gamea to manage (likely reach the Final too) and Europa League games against Barcelona as well, plus an FA Cup fixture - if they get through that period and still have a reasonable gap on 5th/6th etc with no injuries to key lads then they should be fine, as they've the trickiest fixtures (Man City and Arsenal) out of the way now.

Honestly look at the newcastle team tonight, so poor on paper most started last season.....

we're 10 pts behind them well and a game in hand.....

as it stans I can't see them finishing top 4 by end of season

it helps them as spurs, us and chelsea have been v.poor so unless one of those improve or us, could be doable.

    Disagree
Since January last year have been consistent. Top4.

7 new players in that team.
    Tripper
    Pope
    Burn
    Bruno Guimares
    Wilson
    Botman
    Willock
Plus £60m Isak on the bench. (8)

    Huge changes

Doing well with quite prudent signings and good coaching of existing players

I disagree, still not exactly a great team not a team that's good enough to be in the top 4

some of those "average players" was still a massive upgrade to what they had, especially at the back

    Of course.

But Pope , Botman , Guimaraes, and Isak , maybe Trippier would probably make a top 4 team.
Almiron , and Joelinton were good players, only that they were surrounded by dross and Potatoes Nose. Willock too.

That's 8 good players that could play for a top 4 club.

I think you underestimate the Newcastle team and manager.
As much as that pains me to say.
