we are liverpool football club, not fucking norwich.
We weren't anyway - writing on the wall there for a number of weeks.
Newcastle have run out of fizz a bit and SOMEONE can absolutely catch them - Brighton, Tottenham, Fulham, Brentford - entirely possible.
If we magically clicked into full gear and repeated our 20/21 endeavours then we could of course do it too - unfortunately no signs of it. We'd probably need to be beating Everton, Newcastle then Wolves(?) on the spin before we'd hear Clive Tyldesley's "Helllo! Hello! Here were go!" reverberate through our collective headspace.
A couple of good performances ahead of the Real Madrid match would be nice.

Arsenal v City midweek and first bit of massive pressure on the Gunners all season in that one. City win and they're top although Arsenal have a game in hand.
On Utd, I can't make up my mind. Seems they have the managerial choice right this time but let's see. Ten Haag has benefitted from the World Cup shutdown, in terms of getting to implement ideas on his wider squad who weren't at the tournament. His club might have been able to play this far into a season at a decent intensity but what about future years when it catches up with players Ourselves and a certain points City have both suffered from the levels we've had to reach week in, week out for years. City have coped better as they've invested heavily whilst we have stood still with the squad.
Utd will invest further of course but the longer Guardiola and I hope more so Klopp stays, they are massive, previous winning PL bosses to get past. No matter what their support might argue, it is far harder to finish top of the PL nowadays than when Ferguson was around. Even more difficult to dominate.
Wonder if Man City will benefit from a siege mentality, no-one likes us we don't care, as the season comes to a head. That certainly can be read into Guardiola's recent comments.
Hopefully, would rather they win it over Arsenal or United.
Another tainted title.
Defo want them to win it - all other options are terrible for us.
