Despite the toy throwing think most of us agree that Fab and Gomez are done. They've easily been the worst two players of the season by a long way.

I'd definitely be giving Phillips a run out. Nowhere near as quick as Gomez but he defends properly and concentrates.

    Trent
    Phillips
    VvD
    Robbo
    Hendo
    Bajcetic
    Jones
    Salah
    Firmino
    Nunez
Think an issue here is to at least try something different

Crystal Palace are not Real Madrid. Stick with the same team that stuffed Everton and Newcastle.

Ha ha we were under the cosh for long periods against a 10 man Newcastle. We have 20 minutes of high intensity football in us as a collective. That’s the pattern that’s emerging in recent weeks. After that the cohesion and energy drops off dramatically. It’ll be enough to keep us around the top6 hopefully but top 4 is a massive ask.

Agreed. The 10 men of Newcastle out worked and played us without taking significant risks.
That suggests we could not keep up with them late in the game - we were lucky.

At this point of the season you can't keep bringing up last year's extreme work. Most of the players had the WC break and the leagues had mini breaks plus we're out of 2 (soon 3) cups.

    Alisson
    Trent Matip Van Dijk Robertson
    Milner Henderson Bajcetic
    Salah Firmino Nunez

Think gakpo could do with a bit of a rest and we could use Firminos work rate in a tricky away game. No Gomez and no Fabinho.

We scored on the break just 13 seconds after the BS hit our post.. At Anfield, and yes they were shocking on the day, but no way we stuffed them. As for Newcastle.. you cannot have witnessed the game and made that claim.

When you are 2 goals up against the run of play and the opposition keeper gets his marching orders in the first half..and your keeper is MOTM.. you know something is badly wrong. We are Liverpool FC.. we will always win the odd game here and there in the midst of a terrible run, but that doesn't mean anything has been solved.

And what a goal it was on the counter vs Everton. It feels like you're complaining when we win and complaining when we lose. We had an unbelievable run last season. This season has been poor. It happens. For now enjoy the wins and look forward to us coming back stronger next season under one of the best managers in the world.

Well said, always felt last nights game was a free hit at madrid and we tried our best but made errors.......it happens but we need to move on, league has to be priority now would like some other than fabihno in midfield he looks mentally and physically gone but guess what he is not alone plenty more fall into that category. We need to mind nunez he is absolutely vital to making top 4 I would go as far to say he is our only hope.
