It was the same against Real, it's sadly become a bit of a feature ever since Jurgen played Jota there in place of Bobby and altered Mane's position to accomodate that to be honest, considering how many goals we got from switched from right to wide left to Mane and Robbo it's pretty criminal we haven't fixed that and got it back to where it should be, Diaz has been our best at keeping the width there, he plays that role as Mane used to, keeping the width when it needed keeping and making the outside in runs from the expected cues

Jurgen has to take some responsibility with how we play as well. we are obsessed with pressing the ball. sometimes you can keep it and slow the game. then switch to a quicker pace. Its just basic press and see if we can get the second ball. then play breaks down and teams are basically able to run at us for fun. Thankfully Zaha isnt available for Palace or we would be in shit

Klopp trains this group. He works with them every day. If he honestly ever believed he could compete this season with such a dearth of midfield talent, well even I would be questioning him.
