Firmino could play as attacking mid

If you play 4231, the wide forwards are deeper, they essentially become attacking mids, Mo stinks the place out as a winger/attacking mid, his career only took off when he stopped playing that role and started operating as a forward

A lot of our problems stem from us losing the runs in behind from our forwards, we're not and never will be a passing side with this group of players, we are one of THE best ever in your face, shortest route to goal, runs in behind, win any second balls as a new point of attack in your face sides

What's really happened to us is that through a series of ill advised changes to how we play, changes I highlighted at that time and warned were not a good idea, we have over the last 2 and a half season pretty much ripped up the model and way of playing that made us successful, we got through a lot of games last season by the scruff of our necks, including both finals we failed to score and won on pens, pretty much because we were blessed with quality attacking and defensive options all season

We have no such bearing on these things, even if it may feel like it at the time.

Besides, two wins and two clean sheets in the League.

See it out for the rest of the season sure and then re-assess how you feel on the issue, unless you're finding it a hassle.

No Gomez is a plus at any rate.

Hopefully Núñez is available for the next one - imagine it is management of the pain in his shoulder.

On the contrary a small mercy gambles with lives, happiness, and even destiny itself!

Thank fuck, Jurgen pretending he's injured to spare his blushes from the absolute fucking disaster he was for us and our season in the last game

If a player has a complete melt down and loses the thread entirely in just one game, it raises significant questions about their mental ability and strength to be able to perform at the very top level, if they do it in several games as Gomez and Fabinho both have, they really have no business whatsoever still being at a club with our aspirations

It was the same with Karius and Lovren, I fail to see why Gomez or Fab should be given any furhter opportunities

Yeah sadly Gomez isn't good enough for a "top club"

enough is enough now i've given him the benefit of the doubt for a long time but there's no excuses for that, too many lapses of concentration to be a CB i'm afraid, squad player to cover the right that's about it

That line up is sadly lacking the edge given to our attacking play by Núñez and Diaz

    Anyone else up for it?

    Liverpool team to face Palace.

    Alisson

    Trent
    Matip
    VVD
    Robertson

    Milner
    Henderson
    Keita

    Salah
    Gakpo
    Jota

Subs: Kelleher, Tsimikas, Jones, R.Williams (Jesus wept) Bajcetic, Firminho, Carvalho, Elliott, Firmino.

So if we lose a CB during the game, we turn to good old Rhys Williams eh?
    Excellent
Having Firmino twice on the bench? thats some doing!
