With Mac10 and Sz8 here alongside a DM it is clear there is absolutely no need for Trent to come inside to be the pivot conductor. There are ballers in the middle.
Klopp must adjust tactics back to utilize him as a wing back defender he was before. Occasionally doing this inverted things.
Our new 8 and 10 don't need help they know how to be in space and what to do with the ball.

Gakpo for me played okay in the middle. Jota and Salah were the least effective. But overall it seems we are going to be okay at home.
Will judge next week how we look away with Endo in the middle if Mac10 and Sz8 dominate away with proper cover.
Also love Jota, love Gakpo but neither should be played as a 8 ever. Rather Elliot than a striker in the middle.

Yep, add a true dm in the center of the field and this hybrid Trent thing is silly. His defending is still generally in the weak side. I don’t know what the long term solution is for us/him.

Mo being Mo, the selfish Mo, he could pass to Jota or Diaz to make the 3rd but he choose shot like my son with 5yo. I'm happy to sell Salah for the right price

Never was. Scored but never convinced me. Lots of smashes down the middle. Milner probably one of the best takers 3ver. Had so much variety, angles as well as speed.
