I wonder if anyone has the David Moyes "chosen one" banner in a basement somewhere. If West Ham somehow beat Bayer Leverkusen it needs to be bought on eBay just for the shits and giggles.

I like this match up too. Their former chosen one against our current chosen one(potentially). Will provide a good gauge to see Alonso's Leverkusen go up against a Premier League team.

Honestly, we could hardly have hand-picked that better.
Sid do you know if it said we'd be away to Benfica/Marseille in first leg of SF if we beat Atalanta?

Looks like the winner of Liverpool/Atalanta will be away in the first leg of the semi final, should they progress the quarter final...
    Second leg at home...

In terms of "how it works" the official blurb is -

"For the semi-final draw, four balls containing slips of paper marked ‘Winners of quarter-final 1’ to ‘Winners of quarter-final 4’ are placed in a large central bowl and shuffled. The first and second balls drawn determine the first semi-final pairing, the first ball drawn representing the home team for the first leg. The procedure is repeated with the remaining balls in the bowl to complete the semi-final pairings."

I didn't watch the draw live as I was at work but I think justincredible has it right.

Turned out nice of that's the way it goes. Get past Atalanta and that second leg semi will be one for the ages I think. Klopps last one at Anfield.
The fans will make it something special.

I always feel uneasy when we think beyond the next game.

Remember Sevilla? the last Final v Real - the 2 legs v Atletico in 2020?

The last time we played Atalanta at Anfield we got beat 0:2.

I know what you mean. That Sevilla final was devastating. We should have been home and dry at half time.
The last final against Real. Fucks sake, I was absolutely convinced we were winning that.
Remember Atalanta being a good side. That midfielder Koopmeiners plays for them, they had decent forward too but I forget his name. Not sure if he moved on. Not seen them play since admittedly.

Sid,are they any good this season?
