Fully agree. They've done very well,brought in players who've made telling contributions. Even the likes of Trossard have played a big part.
They'll bring in some good players in summer too so we are now playing catch up on them but it should give us optimism that things can change quickly.
I just personally find them very dislikeable,manager, players and fan base. Never used to mind them but there's something about them now I don't like at all. There's a snide side to them and it no doubt cones from Arteta and he has taken lessons from the best in the business.

Still. If they score in their final League game they'll have accrued 90 (or more) League goals in a season and if they keep a clean sheet then they'll have only conceded one more League goal than Rafa's 08/09 side.

I've said on a previous thread, if Arsenal win the title they will be 'worthy' champions. They've only dropped 4pts since the turn of the year.

However their injury record is what has kept them in it right until the end.

If they had -

- Missed their goalkeeper for 3 months
- Simultaneously Missed both fullbacks for 3 months
- Had to put out a different centre half pairing every other week
- Had to play some kids in midfield for a stretch
- Missed their main goal outlet for a few months

I think they would be far lower than they are now...

IMO they would be where we were in the title defence season. Likely fighting for a top 4 spot on the last day.

As for us… What rotten luck, 3 seasons out of 4…(or could it be something else?) Ever since that title win. It has been a litany of injuries - the only season we fared ok on the injury front…..and we nearly took the lot!

Agreed.

Shows how good a manager Jurgen is and that we have a squad of players that aren't a million miles off.

Hopefully next season Slot can carry on the good work, we keep hold of our best players, add a few more and stay injury free (or at least less injury prone!).
