If there's an opportunity to add, I would probably go against the grain and prioritise the centre-back over the DM in terms of our immediate needs for this season. Both would be ideal but feels a long shot in terms of acquiring lads that are good enough to improve us.

Hopefully Bajcetic will be back soon. He has experience in both positions. Then Thiago....if he could even be fit for a month or so to offer a chance for some rotation - plus always the possibility of utilising someone who isn't strictly a DM at the base of midfield (Jones or Gravenberch against lesser opposition?) if our attackers and 8s are in decent form.

Won't be long at all until there are 20 League games left. Mentally I'll be thinking of the rest of the League season as 4 sets of 5 games and you just try to win each of those 4 "mini-Leagues" as you go and hope a side or two drop away.
