I know there's some long standing members on here who will have far better memories than I, but can anyone remember the corner that was taken - similar to the twitter post below - during a Euro match?
I'm thinking it was Baros that took it and then Gerard, but was called back erroneously!
Having seen this now online, I'm reminded of the incident but can't for the life of me remember the actual game!
Like an itch you cannot scratch, I can't sleep now till I get the answer.

I have a vague memory of it. It was down at the Anfield Road end on the right.
I thought it was a league game, but not sure.
The ref disallowed it because he hadn't understood what happened.

Did similar happen in a Man United match but it was disallowed as it wasn't "in the spirit of the game" or something? I think Rooney perhaps involved.

I was thinking about our team in Istanbul 05 and it had a smattering quality. Gerrard Hamann and Alonso were a strong midfield. Hyppia and Carra were strong if a bit slow at the back. It really lacked pace and guile up front.
